“Since we are still facing some challenges to overcome, the training is being carried out in somebody’s home and we are basing on practical aspect due to lack of resources for the said where we have to sacifice for the materials like timbers. They are supposed to make simple things like chairs, tables, those one that can be sold they sell in order to get materials. And with the bricks we buy some few for making moddles some we make them locally. Most of the teachers are volunteering.”

The company organizes once a year an event when all their workers have to dedicate one day to help a nonprofit organization. This can vary from painting a school for orphans, helping a dining-room to feed poor people or writing down plans and thinking about ways of improving the organization of a charity or their marketing plan, to mention some examples.

Just a couple of days after the International Volunteer Day, Nabuur and Aber are being awarded by the assistance of a team of 21 elite engineers and professionals that are currently working together in order to develop strategies to improve the performance of Nabuur worldwide. The so-called Giving Back Day is going to help us going further in this venture!

Now the tools available are not the most appropriate ones but the youth, under the supervision of Otia Lawrence, are doing their best in improving their skills and progressing at an amazing rythm. In few months they will receive proper tools that will allow them developing their skills in the best way!

Aber is home to a high number of orphans, due to the war in Northern Uganda. Poverty and lack of a social structure are fertile soil for various criminal activities among these young children. Girls are particularly vulnerable for prostitution.”

With the certification number 6621, Aber Vocational Training Centre can finally start walking in order to success in this difficult project. Now is the time to work hard and begin thinking about next steps and higher goals. Now is our time!
